Sixteen-Year-Old Spends Weekends As A Delivery Guy To Stand On His Own Feet
While most sixteen-year-olds are busy spending their time browsing through social media, Muhd Irwan Shah Sabarudin, has been working hard to gain experience and learn to be more independent.
His story which has gone viral online came to light when Netizen, Ariffazharb came across Irwan who was having his meal at the back alley of a shop. Feeling sympathetic, Ariffazharb decided to approach Irwan and have a conversation.
What Ariffazharb discovered took him by surprise!
As Irwan began to warm up to Ariffazharb, he revealed that he was actually a food delivery rider. In fact, he has been working part-time on weekends ever since he first got his motor license.
Irwan pointed out that doing so provided him the opportunity to gain more practical experience and develop his ability to stand on his own feet.
“For now, my parents are providing me with all that I need but I chose to pursue a part-time job as a food delivery rider because I’d like to be independent and gain experience,” he told MyMetro.
He was also quick to point out how he could earn his own pocket money by doing this.
“Moreover, my exams are over and I have a motorcycle, so I’d prefer to spend my time benefiting through working instead of just sitting around playing on my phone”, he said confidently.
“At least, I earn money through working so that I can buy whatever I want without having to depend on my family,” he added.
