Shakthi, The Kitten Rescued From Car’s Frame Thanks To BAC Students
It took a lot of effort, sweat and prayers, but this cute kitten given the name Shakthi was safely rescued after a 4-hour ordeal thanks to the care and support of the folks at Brickfields Asia College (BAC).
A kitten survived after being trapped for half a day in the frame of a car parked at VSQ, PJ City Centre recently.
It all began when bypassers heard a noise under a car on Tuesday morning but didn’t know what it was. Later that day, BAC Year 1 law student, Melvin, decided to send a WhatsApp broadcast to locate the owner of the said car.
“So basically I was in Criminal Law class and around 12:40 pm, Melvin, our class representative had forwarded a message about a cat stuck under a car in the vicinity and I rushed to see what was going on. The BAC management team had called Bomba (Fire and Rescue Department, Malaysia) and informed them about the situation. It took a good one hour for them to arrive because they were dealing with another serious case. Unfortunately, the firefighters could not do anything because the car owner wasn’t around. So, we tried hard to contact the owner and after 30 minutes, he arrived after learning about the emergency and Shakthi was rescued!”, quipped Tarani Chandra, Year One (UK Law Transfer Programme) Student.
That one message took a life of its own and prompted public reaction which was nothing less than cute and oh, so inspiring! Check out the photo below:
A big thank you to Tarani Chandra, Wendy, Mira, Melvin, Jeremy, KC and the BAC Management team for saving Shakthi.
