Jimmy Fallon’s Hashtags Segment Gives Us Some Much-Needed Humour
People all over the world continue to stay positive during these challenging times of social distancing and adapt to what appears to be the “new” normal. Even famous talk shows normally recorded in front of a live studio audience had to adapt and come up with creative ideas for home edition talk shows.
One that stands out with hilarious outcomes is the Hashtags segment in none other than Jimmy Fallon’s Tonight Show At Home Edition. For several weeks, Jimmy Fallon recorded shows from the confines of his own home and more importantly, united his large fan following on social media ie Twitter followers to provide some much-needed humour during the stay indoors.
Jimmy got Twitter buzzing with hilarious responses when he asked people on Twitter to describe their quarantine period at home in six words. His tweet was – “#MyQuarantineInSixWords: Fine. You can paint daddy’s nails.”
In no time, other hilarious tweets were flooding social media. Like the ones below:
Day one: ate all the snacks – LOL!
Longest day of my life, everyday – Word.
The latest edition to the Hashtags segment was #QuarantineAMovie, where people were asked to tweet new movie titles for the quarantine period.
It’s time for Tonight Show: At Home Edition Hashtags! Change the title of a movie to make it fit with quarantining, and tag it with #QuarantineAMovie. Could be on the show!
