Burger Boy to the Rescue! – Free Burgers for All in Need
Burger Boy, a burger food truck business in Kota Damansara, is offering free burgers daily during the Movement Control Order (MCO)!
The owner of this business, Mohd Kasim Ismail, told the New Straits Times, that this was the least he could do for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Please do not be shy. Just come to Burger Boy, and eat your fill,” he said at his food truck in Jalan PJU 5/3 last Saturday.
Those in need could approach him or his assistant for the free burgers from 2pm to 8pm, the 30-year-old Kelantanese added.
“The burger is not limited to basic beef or chicken, and they can order whatever they want from the menu, according to Kosim.”

Kosim’s menu lists a total of 90 burger varieties including egg, chicken, beef, lamb, rabbit, prawn, and fish. The burgers range from RM3 to RM30.50 each. Ever since the implementation of MCO on 13 January 2021, between 50 to 100 free burgers have been distributed daily.
Kosim mentioned that after his Facebook post went viral last Friday, he had served out 150 free burgers to ‘special customers’ from all races.
Kosim, who has been selling burgers for 14 years, said, apart from providing his portion of free burgers, others who were more well-to-do also came by to chip in.
“They come to my food truck and ‘pay-it-forward’ for those who cannot afford and are hungry,” he said.
Generous individuals would also call him to make burgers to be donated to places of their choice. They would bank in the money and ask Kosim to deliver the burgers.
During the first MCO last year, Kosim provided free burgers to frontliners in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur.
“My dad told me that the more we give, the more we will get in return. The returns are not necessarily in terms of money but it could also be in terms of good health, sufficient sustenance and happiness, among others,” he added.
Kudos to Kosim for such generous compassion!
