Each time we order a new gas tank, we can be pretty sure it will be delivered by a big, burly guy who has no issues lifting the tank.
The last thing one would expect is their tank being delivered by a petite woman, but residents in Slim River, know better.
Most of them are familiar with Nor Azila Azman, 34, who is well known there for being as tough as nails.
A rare breed, she is the only woman there who sells and delivers gas tanks to homes in the entire town, no other reports in Malaysia suggest the same.
According to the New Straits Times, Nor Azila completed her tertiary education, then worked as a waitress before joining the biggest company in town what supplied and sold gas tanks as a store clerk.
“The company closed down in 2014 and I was out of a job, until customers started calling me asking if I knew anyone who could supply gas tanks.
“This was when I decided to become an entrepreneur by selling and delivering gas tanks on my own.
“I managed to raise RM50,000 in capital which I used to purchase a one-tonne lorry, rent a store and purchase the initial stock of gas tanks which ranged from 12kg and 14kg right up to 50kg, which I also deliver by hand,” she told the news portal.
By doing physical work daily, she said there is no need for her to go to the gym.

She has since been running her company, Mira Enterprise for the last six years and business has been good.
Together with one staff member, she uses two one-tonne lorries to deliver more than 100 gas tanks of different sizes to Slim River residents daily from 8am to 5pm, seven days a week throughout the year except for the first day of Hari Raya.
“I’ve received many requests for dates and even marriage proposals, but I am already spoken for as I tied the knot in December last year with a budding photographer from Ipoh,” said Nor Azila with a chuckle.
“Over the last few years, I have also ventured into the food and beverage business by selling yong tau foo at a stall at the local Ramadan bazaar during the fasting month and at the weekly pasar malam (night market).
“As an entrepreneur, I am always open to exploring new business opportunities,” said a determined Nor Azila.
