Kuala Lumpur World Trade Center (WTCKL) Group Managing Director, Datuk Seri Dr Irmohizam Ibrahim, has received the honour of being featured in the World’s 100 Best Public Figures by The Contemporary World Press in China.
The award was given in line with the appointment of Irmohizam, the first individual in Malaysia as the Chairman of the Convention and Exhibition (C&E) Council of the Advisory Members (MAC) of the World Trade Centre Association (WTCA) headquartered in New York, USA.
According to Irmohizam, the matter was informed by the Second Secretary from the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Zuo Hongsheng during a recent visit to WTCKL.
“We talked about the great honour given to me to be featured in the 100 World’s Best Public Figures by The Contemporary World Press in China as well as the exciting opportunity for me to give a Malaysia – China leadership and education forum as a Visiting Professor at the Centre of Malaysia Scholars, College International Relations, Huaqiao University, Fujian, China.
“We also discussed my capacity as the Convention and Exhibition (C&E) Chairman of the Advisory Council (MAC) of the World Trade Centre Association (WTCA) & WTCKL Group Managing Director,” he said in a statement.
Also present during the visit was the Director of Sales (WTCKL Conferences & Exhibitions), Oo Mei Ting.
During the meeting, they also touched on efforts to expand business economic partnerships in new growth areas such as economic business events, trade and the tourism industry.
At the same time, Irmohizam hopes to collaborate in the future as the opening of the international border will be implemented this April.
