Five years ago, Wan Razali Wan Mohd from Dungun sold his motorcycle to pay for his daughter, Wan Nuraisyah’s studies.
The motorcycle was very special to him as it was given to him by his late wife, Lujaini Umat @ Bidin.
However, on his recent 58th birthday, Wan Razali received a wonderful surprise when Wan Nuraisyah presented him with a brand-new motorcycle.
In video she uploaded on TikTok, Wan Razali was unable to hold back his tears when he saw the gift.
The father of two, who lives in Kampung Pulau Serai here, said he felt a gamut of emotions, from sadness to gratitude, when he saw the new motorcycle.
“I felt sad because my late wife gave me a motorcycle and now my daughter is doing the same. I do not expect anything in return as it is my fatherly duty to provide for her,” he told Harian Metro.
Wan Razali said it was hard to let go of the motorcycle from his wife a day after she died of fever five years ago.
But he had no choice as things were tough and there was no other way to come up with the money for his daughter’s studies.
Wan Nuraisyah said she decided to give her father a motorcycle for all the sacrifices he had made for the family.
“My father has given up a lot, including the motorcycle given by my late mother, to ensure that I can continue my studies.
“I now have a job and a stable income. It is time to share my rezeki (good fortune) with my father,” said Wan Nuraisyah, who got married in March and is expecting her first child.
