In these difficult times, it would surely be a bonus for anyone to find RM3,000.
This is just what happened to Good Samaritan, Salina Sadik recently – who found a wallet filled with various denominations amounting to about RM3,000.
According to the owner of the wallet, Traj, he lost his wallet on Oct 3 and apart from the money and cards, he was very upset as the wallet was a gift from his fiancée.
It also had a photograph of his later grandmother in it and also had his name emblazoned in gold on the inside and outside.
“A few days ago, to my surprise, a parcel was delivered to my house and I only had time to open it two days later. To my surprise, it was my wallet with everything in place.
“It was found by a kindhearted woman who used her own money to send it back to me,” he said, adding that he received the wallet on Oct 27 – 24 days after he lost it.
There was a note written in Malay which read, “Hi Sir, I found your wallet in Petronas Batu Caves. Call me once the wallet reaches you.”
The wallet was found in Batu Caves and delivered back to the owner in Rawang.
Traj immediately called the number on the note and asked for the location.
“I called the number as I wanted to thank the person. I presented the Good Samaritan, a woman, Salina Sadik, with a hamper,” he said, adding that they are now good friends.
He also invited Salina to his upcoming wedding.
“A gem like her should be treasured. She is one in a million,” he said in his Facebook posting.
Salina meanwhile said she was happy Traj got his wallet back and that she was unable to send it earlier as she was busy with work.
Netizens have been since singing praises over Salina’s honesty and Traj post has also garnered thousands of likes and shares.
