The recent floods in numerous parts of the country caused many to lose everything they owned.
This includes children who also lost their precious toys among other belongings.
To bring some cheer to these little ones, one kind Malaysian resorted to giving away free toys to through a project named “Toys for a Cause (TFAC)”.
Amir Effendi, 44, started this project back in 2019 to bring some joy to unfortunate children.
“This is because I am too a father. So, I tried my best to collect and buy toys to give to the children affected by flood, including the kid that went viral after his toy robot got flushed away by the floods,” he said.
Instead of handing over the toys to volunteers, he sent to their houses to personally give them the toys.
He said he gets satisfaction by seeing their cheerful smiles and had since given out toys to about 30 to 40 children affected by the recent floods.
The freelance graphic designer said he wanted to do something different from all the other forms of donations.
