The Government will be establishing the Keluarga Malaysia Research and Education Centre to spearhead research and promote the concept of Keluarga Malaysia (Malaysian Family).
In line with the nickname and as a leading institution that brings change in the development of education, the centre will be located at the Sultan Idris University of Education (UPSI).
The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob when announcing the establishment of the centre hoped that it would be able to institutionalize the Keluarga Malaysia by becoming a hub for research, education, training and knowledge dissemination, among Malaysians.
“I am very optimistic that with creativity, innovation and strategic collaboration involving various parties, this centre can play a significant role in improving, promoting and disseminating the concept and efforts to cultivate the values of Malaysian Family enrichment,” he said.
He was speaking at the launch of Keluarga Malaysia @ IPT at the UPSI Chancellor’s Hall, Proton City, Tanjung Malim on Wednesday morning.
Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad and Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.
According to the Prime Minister, the launch of the Malaysian Family Student Welfare Foundation on 28 October 2021 is very much in line with the value of togetherness which is one of the pillars of the Malaysian Family.
He said the establishment of the foundation was in line with the government’s principle to always ensure that no one was left behind or marginalized.
