Deputy Secretary General (Management) of the Ministry of Health (MOH), Datuk Harjeet Singh was appointed as the new Secretary General (KSU) of the Ministry of Health effective today.
Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd. Zuki Ali said he believed that with the experience, knowledge and credibility that Harjeet possessed, he was able to lead the MOH to provide services with integrity, efficiency and speed.
According to him, this is in line with the ministry’s slogan of ‘We Are Ready to Help’.
“Congratulations on the appointment of Harjeet as MOH Secretary General effective April 11, 2022,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd. Zuki added, Harjeet, 59, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio University, Columbus, USA.
He explained that the new Secretary General of the MOH has served in the civil service for 33 years since joining the civil service as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer on 1 August 1989.
Mohd. Zuki said Harjeet had extensive experience in planning, human resource management and policy and had served as the Director General of the Public Complaints Bureau.
Harjeet’s appointment was reported to replace Datuk Seri Mohd. Syafiq Abdullah who currently holds the position of Director General of Public Service (KPPA) on 10 February.
