Sound advice, but how can you pick the right one that positively impacts you and your mood?
Colors can play a significant role in conveying knowledge, developing certain moods, and affecting people’s decisions.
Colors that you like or dislike may deeply associate with your childhood memories. For example, if your mom made you wear a bright green skirt and a few kids made fun of your outfit, chances are you will dislike the color green as an adult.
Given that 90% of decisions are affected by the psychological impact of color alone, it is crucial to know what colors represent and what reactions they can produce.
The study of color in relation to human behavior is known as color psychology. It aims to figure out how color influences our day-to-day choices, such as what we purchase.
In 1666, English scientist Sir Isaac Newton found that as pure white light travels through a prism, it splits into all observable colors. Newton discovered that each color consists of a single wavelength and cannot be further divided into other colors.
According to an analysis, certain colors affect results. The findings showed that students who were given red numbers before the exam scored more than 20% lower than those who were given the green and black numbers. This indicates that exposing students to the color red before an exam has a negative impact on test results.
