The arrival of Ramadan is not only appreciated by Muslims but all Malaysians as we have always shared in the festivities in our multi cultural nation. The mutual respect for each other’s religion makes the occasion, sweeter.
Despite being of different religions, generosity of non -Muslims in this country can be witnessed everyday, especially during the glorious month of Ramadan.
A man only known as Vicky, did not miss out on the opportunity to do something good during Ramadan, as he was seen distributing 300 satay skewers to homeless people around Kuala Lumpur, for them to break their fast.
The man, who is famous for sharing cooking activities and recipes on Facebook, uploaded his story on Youtube.
“I wanted to distribute 300 skewers of satay to our homeless friends around Kuala Lumpur for breaking fast.
“I asked satay sellers to provide enough for 30 to 40 people,” he said.
As can be seen through the video, Vicky is seen approaching the homeless who were sleeping in the area, one by one, before being surrounding by the group who wanted their share of the delicious satay.
As of this writing, his sharing on Facebook has received more than 40,000 likes and has been shared more than 200 times, while his video on Youtube has received almost 5 thousand views.
Based on his other videos, this is not the first time he has distributed aid to the homeless around the capital.
