While the floods have brought destruction around the country, leaving many homeless, a man went out of his way to save six cats stuck in a flooded house.
A video uploaded on Twitter showed the man in an inflatable boat saving the cats trapped in a house which was almost totally covered in floodwaters.

With the help of a friend, the duo saved six helpless furry friends.
Once safely on the boat, the man is seen feeding the cats with some dry food.
The video has since brought warmth and hope to Malaysians who have sung praises of his heroic efforts.
Netizens have urged pet owners to whatever they can to save their pets and not leave them locked in a flooded house.
“Seeing citizens helping another is already giving me so many emotions; seeing animals being saved is another,” said another user.
Another Twitter user even said, “May these cats be the reason for the man who helped them to have a place in heaven.”
