A disabled man (OKU) who was previously reported missing in a fire at Felda Sungai Nerek on Sunday was found safe.
The victim, in his late 40s, was found at about 7.30am by members of the public in the Felda area.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Public Relations Officer, Zulfadli Zakaria said, the man involved is believed to have come out of the fire area during the incident.
According to him, the house was inhabited by two people including the disabled man and the fire involved a semi -permanent house measuring nine meters x 24 meters with an estimated destruction of 95 percent.
“Another adult male who inhabited the house was safe when he managed to come out to save himself.
“The fire brigade received a call from MERS 999 at 3.05am before a team of personnel with machinery from the Jengka Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were directed to the scene,” he said in a statement on Sunday.
He said the extinguishing operation was also assisted by members from BBP Maran with the logistical strength of one extinguishing machine and one EMRS machine.
