A total of 132,390 children aged five to 11 years have completed the injection dose of COVID-19 vaccine through the National Childhood COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICKids) as of yesterday.
Based on data via the COVIDNOW website, a total of 1,365,915 children in the same group or 38.4 percent of the population had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
For the population of adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, a total of 2,860,287 individuals or 91.9 percent have been completely vaccinated while 2,961,642 individuals or 95.2 percent have received at least one dose of vaccine.
Meanwhile, a total of 15,922,033 adults or 67.7 percent received booster dose injections, 22,957,184 individuals or 97.6 percent of the population were fully vaccinated while 23,234,427 or 98.8 percent received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
A total of 38,820 doses of vaccine were given yesterday involving 4,079 first doses, 28,469 second doses and 6,272 booster doses, bringing the cumulative total doses given under the National COVID-19 Immunization Program (PICK) to 69,221,371.
Meanwhile, according to the Health Ministry’s GitHub portal, a total of 12 deaths due to COVID 19 were reported in the country yesterday with Sarawak recording the highest number of five cases, followed by Perak with two cases while Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Selangor and Kuala Lumpur each recorded one case.
