He said he did not know whose dog it was but decided to help it.
“Although it’s a dog, it is still a creature created by Allah. It’s not my dog, not sure whose it is, looks like it escaped, but it came to me to ask for help,” he wrote.
He said a friend then helped him to wrap the dog in a blanket and their tried to flush its mouth with water.
They then chopped down two coconuts from a tree nearby and broke it to feed the dog.
He said he recalled his father telling him that coconut water could reduce some poisons and help clear the blood.
They then managed to pry open the dog’s mouth and fed it the coconut water.
Fortunately, he said the next morning the dog recovered and ran away after he fed it some sardines.
“Even though I am Muslim, I think we should love and care for all animals. Because they are also creatures by God,” he said, assuring netizens that he would upload a video if he sees the dog again.
Netizens have since praised Apih for saving the dog and also condemned those who poisoned it.
