The Ministry of Health has clarified that there is no reason for Malaysians who have completed both Covid-19 vaccine doses to print out their vaccination certificates.
Its deputy minister, Datuk Dr Noor Azmi Ghazali said it was sufficient to show it on your MySejahtera application in case of any checks by the authorities.
Apart from that, he also said those who completed their doses can show their Covid-19 vaccination card which they received after completing their doses.
This issue came up since fully vaccinated individuals in states currently under the second phase and above of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) are allowed several relaxations.
These include inter-district travel, dine-in at restaurants as well as participation in selected sports starting Tuesday (August 10).
Dr Noor Azmi said the vaccination card was proof someone had received their vaccine, should the individuals be registered as dependents and don’t have their digital certificate on hand.
“The card is proof. I have met people who have laminated the card and put it in their wallets just like an identification card.
“If your battery is running out or senior citizens who are registered as dependents by their children, you can just show the card, should you want to perform prayers in a surau or mosque.
“There is no need to print out the certificate and they can just show the white card given by the government, not the card that is sold online, that is unacceptable,” he added.
