As the results of the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) came out on Thursday, July 1, many took it to social media to share their joy and celebrated and end to a chapter of their education.
A food delivery rider hailing from Seremban managed to steal the limelight with his incredible reaction after checking his results.
20-year-old Muhammad Izzuddin Amirrudin works as a part-time delivery rider, checked his results online while he was waiting to pick up a customer’s order. In a blink of an eye, what was an anxious waiting game soon turned into a gleeful moment for him as he scored his exams with flying colours.
“I was so excited and ecstatic after I found out I got four A(s) and a 4.0 CGPA. I’m really thankful that all of my efforts and sacrifices had finally paid off,” the said as quoted from Bernama.
Izzuddin has ambitions of becoming a lawyer and intends to pursue an undergraduate degree in Law at Universiti Malaya. He aspires to contribute back to society and help those in need.
He is the second child in his family with six siblings. Izzuddin notes that he studies about two to three hours a day and does additional reading online.
“My parents (are also a big help) as they are always giving me advice and the motivation to face my exams. Especially now, with the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing,” he added.
Izzuddin stated that online learning was by no means an easy task. The lack of physical interactions with friends and faculty often became a problem as well as poor internet connectivity.
“A weak Internet connection definitely made online learning an uphill task. There were times when I just wanted to give up, but my parents were always there to rekindle my spirits.”
The SMK Taman Forest Heights alumni says that his job as a food delivery rider taught him the essence of responsibility and honesty. He appreciates the experience that he has gained.
