Potholes are a nuisance and Malaysians have known potholes of all shapes and sizes, all their life.

According to viral posts, residents in Junjung took it upon themselves and planted banana trees in some potholes to get the attention of the municipal council in their area.
They planted a tree along Japan Komersial Junjung and another in the middle of a hawker centre.
Pictures showed the tress sprouting from the ground in the middle of the roads.
Reports later said the authorities quickly moved in an removed the trees the same day they were planted.
A resident, Aishah Abd Kadir, 29, said she hoped the move by the residents would help the authorities open their eyes and repair the potholes soon.
“Though the residents had reported the matter to the authorities, nothing had been done and residents were forced to resort to such means,” she added.
