How many of us have tried our hand at making roti canai before?
The favourite local delicacy is not something easy to make, but for seven-year-old Yusra Azna Ruslin from Perlis, it is all in a day’s work.
In a recent viral video, her father, Ruslin Meli, said she learned to make roti canai from her parents about three months ago.
The family owns a stall called ‘Uwita Enterprise’ at Kampung Balai Baru in Kangar.

She said she enjoyed flipping roti canai and she learned from watching her mum and dad do it.
“It was initially difficult, but after practicing a few times, I managed to do it,” she said.
During her school holidays, the Standard One student helps out and makes between 50 and 60 roti canai a day.
“When she first started learning, the dough broke apart a lot, but Yusra never got bored of learning from her mother, who is also good at flipping roti canai,” he said.
Ruslin said he also makes his 14-year-old and eight-year-old children help out at the shop so that they do not spend too much time on their phones.
The youngest of three children is also encouraged by her school teachers who often visit the family’s stall.
