Grab to introduce "Quiet Ride" for those who prefer chat-free rides

While most Malaysians would enjoy chatting with someone while travelling, there are those who prefer to remain quiet and simply "do their own thing".

Recognising this, popular e-hailing service provider, Grab recently introduced a new "Quite Ride" option for those who prefer it.

All one needs to do is just reply "Quiet Ride" when receiving the auto-generated message in the GrabChat upon confirmation of your Grab booking.

But consumers have to note, despite choosing the ‘Quiet Ride’ feature, that even the driver will still have to speak to the passenger regarding vital matters for the user’s convenience such as routing preferences, music playback or air-conditioning

Besides that, Grab added that the feature was still under evaluation and is still yet to be decided whether the e-hailing service will launch the feature in Malaysia. Besides our market, the Philippines and Vietnam were used to test the feature as well by Grab.

A screenshot from the Grab Driver app said that the feature will go on trial on 7 October.
