Rise of the Beasts to hit big screens on June 9, next year

Set for release on June 9, 2023, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be a sequel to Bumblebee and is once again set in the past.

This time, viewers will be introduced to the Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons, which are robots that turn into robotic animals.

The film is the seventh instalment in the Transformers film series and a stand-alone sequel to Bumblebee which was screened in 2018.

Like Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts looks as if it will focus on a human/Transformer bond, namely that between Noah (Anthony Ramos) and the Transformer Mirage (Pete Davidson).

Similar to how Charlie found Bumblebee in a junkyard, Noah finds Mirage abandoned in a parking lot. Other images feature the duo working together alongside other Autobots including Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen) and the Maximals, which looks extremely promising.

While primarily set in Brooklyn, the film will also travel to Machu Picchu in Peru. We can reasonably expect that the iconic ancient city will play some role in the lore of the Transformers race.

After much anticipation, Paramount Pictures dropped the first official trailer on Dec. 1, 2022 which shows a brief exchange between Optimus Prime and Optimus Primal — the leader of the Maximals who transforms into a King Kong-sized gorilla.

Like all previous Transformers movies, fans can be assured it is surely among those eagerly worth waiting for in 2023.
