Whether local or international, it can’t be denied that cats of the Oyen stripe- er, type, seem to have a knack for getting caught up in rather amusing (a-meow-sing?) incidents. This Singaporean Oyen seems to be even more proof of that.
In a series of pictures shared by a highly entertained Twitter user @ohohwaihong on July 11, we see a very patient Oyen sitting in a chair, waiting to get a vaccine shot at Singapore’s Clementi Community Centre.
so this ket came to join the line for covid-19 vaccine jab but he got his ass hauled out shortly ?????? SO KEWT!!!!! pic.twitter.com/lUT53GLMgg

In addition to being patient, the pictures reveal that Oyen was also doing its level best to ensure that it complied with S.O.P’s- following the queue, remaining in its chair and not overstepping the social distance gap.
Unfortunately for Oyen, the opportunity to get vaccinated passed him by- a second picture shows the civic-minded kitty getting hauled out of the centre by a volunteer. Awwwwww…poor lil’ guy.?
Replies to the tweet were flooded with users commiserating with Oyen’s failed vaccination attempt and applauding its civic-mindedness and sensibility in trying to stay safe.
Other users instead commemorated Oyen’s attempt with (what else) plenty of feline based quips and puns-with one Malaysian user cheekily suggesting that maybe Oyen did not have a confirmed appointment on the MEOWSejahtera app!
Thanks for trying to do your part to stop the Covid-19 spread, Oyen- and we hope you have better luck at your next vaccination appointment!
