Although most schools and higher learning institutions have taken a hit and have had to adapt to changes throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, some are doing their part for the community by slashing rates to their courses in a bid to ensure education is not disrupted.

GoodNews caught has found that one institution is trying to create a more affordable path to education and get students the education they need.

Veritas University College has launched an education fund which provides discounts on tuition fees worth thousands of ringgit without any bond.

As reported by Free Malaysia Today, Veritas, which is part of the BAC Education Group, said the Veritas Pandemic Education Fund would help minimise disruptions caused by Covid-19 to tertiary education.

Veritas director Raja Singham said he is a firm advocate of Unesco’s Sustainable Development Goals on quality education and that education is a means out of poverty.

“That was our motivation to spend millions on various education initiatives like SPMflix, Project Deep and Project Entrepreneur.

“In that same spirit, the Veritas Pandemic Education Fund was established to give all Malaysians an affordable pathway to further their education after SPM.

“I want to ensure that everyone has equitable access to quality education,” Raja Singham, who is also the BAC Education Group chairman, said in a statement.

The Foundation in Arts tuition fee, which is significantly reduced to RM5,000 under the Veritas Pandemic Education Fund, makes it probably the best value foundation programme in the nation.

But the true distinction of this initiative is that students will not be bonded or required to further their higher education at Veritas in order to enjoy the low fees, which Veritas is calling ZERO BOND.

Students enrolling for the Foundation at Veritas will also get access to the best online resources and have the opportunity to learn from a highly experienced faculty.

With flexible study modes available due to its new hybrid campus, students can learn anywhere, anytime.

Upon completing the Foundation of Arts, students will have a multitude of options to pursue further undergraduate studies in; Accounting & Finance, Business, Digital Transformation, Branding & Digital Marketing, Information Technology, Psychology and more.

100% of the pre-u fees (RM 5,000) will be refunded to those who choose to pursue any undergraduate degree with Veritas and their total fee for the 3-year degree will only be RM24,700.
