Netizens have described this video as the most adorable thing they have seen, in a long time.
A video of Ireland’s President Michael D Higgin’s seven-month-old Bernese mountain dog, trying to get some attention while the president delivered a speech, has gone viral on social media.
The Irish president was paying tribute to the late actor Tom Hickey, who died on Saturday.
His dog however sat at his side, relentlessly biting his hand and pawing at his side, demanding for attention and to be petted.
Although the president did his best to remain focused on the interview, he eventually offered up his hand as a chew toy.
The dog, named Misneach, which means courage, joined the family in March after the death of Higgins’ Bernese mountain dog Síoda last September.

This is not the first time one of the Irish president’s dogs has gone viral.
The president’s other dog Bród, which means pride, won netizens over at the International Women’s Day event in March 2020, when he ran around the room demanding attention before lying on his back at Higgins’ side, demanding that the president rubbed his belly.
The official account later shared the video with the caption, “Behind the scenes at Áras an Uachtaráin.”(the official residence and workplace of the President of Ireland)
Netizens loved the clip and the bond shared by the precious pup and its owner and some said they were even thinking of moving to Ireland after seeing the video!
